Mission & Vision

Most of the libraries of our country do not have ability to purchase international standard Library Automation and Digital Library Software because of budget constraint. Not only this, a large number of library professionals do not get chance to take part in training on modern library trends. These are the vital limitations for which nowadays, most of the libraries are not providing standard library services. For empowering our library professionals, libraries and the development of Bangladesh, we have decided to form a volunteer forum. This forum has following mission and vision –
• To provide consultancy to libraries, archives, museums, information and documentation centers in their development programs.
• To conduct training programs for library professionals so as to help them to develop, update, digitalized and automate their libraries and documentation centers.
• To introduce new tools and techniques to library professional so that they can able to provide better information services.
• To ensure library automation and digital library system.
• To provide future support security.
• To establish coordination among the library development activities in the country with national as well as international development communities and forums.
• To provide economic solution of complex data handling.
• To build a contemporary information and knowledge society.
